1.                  Minutes of the September 30, 2009 were reviewed and approved unanimously.

2.                  Carl Somero, Water Works Superintendent, reviewed meter repairs and the leak detection program.  Jay and Carl will get together on November 6, 2009 to review.

A.                 Charlie is to call Perrin Prescott about warranties on the pump.

B.                 Charlie and Carl will check out the water lines leading to the Riverview Mill sprinkle systems.

3.                  Jim and Carl gave an update of the back flow project in reference to the Wilton Elementary School and the Riverview Mill complex.  It was noted the Riverview Mill complex, “Roedels”, needs some work.

4.                  Lisa Kennedy is scheduled to replace her water devise this week as we had a temporary line over the ground that will freeze this winter.

5.                  The Board voted to implement a purchase and works order system before any work can be done on the water system.  From now on all orders must be signed by at least two commissioners. Procedure voted and approved by a board majority.

6.                  The Board voted all work orders must be described in detail and the exact location of the site noted on the paperwork. Procedure voted and approved by a board majority.

7.                  The Commissioners will not charge any fees to the Water Department other than travel cost reimbursement. Procedure voted and approved by a board majority.

New Business:

1.                  Carl will order materials for the Commissioners and layout the work in the future for the Commissioners.  Procedure voted and approved by a board majority.

2.         The Board voted to not spend any more funds on the old reservoir as the majority of the board felt is would not be practical to try to use that old system.  It was taken out of service in 1988 when our new wells and the Abbot Hill Road tank went on line. Procedure voted and approved by a board majority.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:30pm.

                                                            Respectfully submitted,

                                                            Charles O. McGettigan, Jr.

                                                            Wilton Water Commissioner
