What is it?

The Wilton Police Department would like to introduce a new program designed for the elderly citizens of our community.  This program, titled WAKE UP WILTON, is focused on people who are living alone and don’t have any family members who live nearby.  This program is offered free to the residents of Wilton.

What does it do?

The purpose of this program is to help to insure the safety and security of our residents.  Anyone wishing to participate would simply sign up with the police department.  Their name would then be added to the Wake Up Wilton list.  After they have signed up, they would then call the department by phone, by 10:00 a.m., on a daily basis to check in.  If the department does not hear from a participant by 10:00 a.m., an officer would go to the person’s house to check on them.

How do I sign up?

Joining is easy.  Simply fill out the attached form and mail it to, or drop it off at, the Wilton Police Department.  Your name will be added to the Wake Up Wilton list and a member of the Wilton Police Department will contact you.  You will then be given instructions on how to call in.
