Conservation Commission Minutes for the meeting of January 13, 2003

Present: Spencer Brookes, Andrew LeFrançois, Alan Preston

7:00 Business Meeting

1. Noted that the W.C.C. will meet with the budget committee on 21JAN03.

2. Reviewed and ok'd a copy of the W.C.C. 2002 report.

3. The Town of Wilton, through the W.C.C., would hold the rights to the trails and conservation easements with the Society of the Protection of New Hampshire Forests or designated land trust.  The W.C.C. ok'd this if the W.C.C. were to give money for land acquisition.

4. Lot C-35 + C-53, W.C.C. is concerned about the density of 17 house lots in this prospective residential area and its wetlands and wetland crossings; lot sizes may be too small.

5. Lot C-53-5, concerned with one lot that has two wetlands in it and an aquifer below it.

6. W.C.C. would like to see some "common ground" put aside for the town.

7. The next regular meeting is scheduled for 10FEB03 at 7:00PM at the Town Hall.
