Chairman Condra called the regular meeting to order and then at the request of Building Inspector John Shepardson, a non public session was called per RSA 91-A:3,II(a).
The regular meeting was resumed at 6:55.
Boy Scouts John Lemire and Ryan Christino attended the meeting and asked if they could use they could use the parking lot for a garage sale for the Boy Scouts. Selectman McDonough suggested they advertise for donations for their sale. Troop 10 can use the parking lot on July 17 or July 24th.
Motion: Selectman McDonough made a motion to allow the Troop 10
Boy Scouts use the parking lot at the Fire Station for a garage sale on
July 17, 2010, with a rain-date of July 24, 2010. The motion
was seconded by Chairman Condra, which passed unanimously.
Charlie McGettigan attended the meeting to ask a few questions.
He asked what the status of employing an engineering firm to do the study
on the old dam. He was informed that a firm had been employed and
they would have the study completed on time to be submitted to DES.
He asked if the replacement of the railing along the road behind the Town Hall was still planned. He was informed that the project is still planned and will be started as soon as the Highway Department has time to do the work.
Helen Egan is a resident 240 Gibbons Highway and has a long driveway. She reported that they have had problems with drainage, which she was told is from the pitch of the road. She is going to have some work done on their driveway and it was recommended that the culvert should be replaced. After discussion of when the culvert was put in, it was suggested that the road agent at the time, did not use a pipe large enough to handle the water and debris that goes through the culvert. Selectman McDonough suggested that Steve Elliott visit the site and give his assessment at next week’s meeting.
The Board discussed the request from the Main Street Association to have the taxes on Lot 48, their park on Main Street. After a discussion of the issue, the Board deferred making a motion on the Main Street Association’s request for abatement of taxes until a full Board is present.

The correspondence and informational material was reviewed.
The Board discussed Planning Board issues. Selectman McDonough has questions concerning the function of the NRPC for the Planning Board. After a discussion, the Board decided to ask Planning Board Chairman Jeff Kandt if he would attend a Selectmen’s meeting to discuss his assessment of the work NRPC does for the Town of Wilton. There is also an employee issue they would like to discuss with Mr. Kandt.
Chairman Condra signed an Agreement between the Town of Wilton and Wright-Pierce for the professional services associated with the evaluation of the Old Wilton Reservoir Dam. Selectman McDonough had some questions, so he was going to call the Project Manager.
The Selectmen decided that they should have a meeting next Monday, June 28, 2010 because it would be two weeks because the next Monday is a holiday.
The meeting was adjourned on a motion at 8:50 pm, with all in favor.
