McDonough and Recording Secretary Peggy Arn
Four engineering firm representatives sat before the Board of Selectmen.
The Board asked questions and listened to each firm’s recommendations and
comments. The following firms were represented:
1) Shawn Patenaude from DuBois & King, Inc.
2) Jonathan Edgerton and Patricia McLlvaine, Wright-Pierce
3) Paul Becht and John Lavigne, HL Turner Group Inc.
4) Timothy Grant and Terry Lorber, Provan & Lorber
After the interviews, the Board reviewed each company’s presentations and unanimously agreed that Wright-Pierce people gave the best supporting information on their qualifications to do the study. They also stated that they can meet the August 1, 2010 deadline for the study to be submitted to DES.
MOTION: Selectman Richard Rockwood made a motion that the contract for the engineering study on the Old Wilton Dam Reservoir be awarded to Wright-Pierce based on their qualifications and presentation. The cost for the scope of services outlined in their proposal is $6,500 and their report will be presented to Wilton by July 23, 2010. The motion was seconded by Selectman Steve McDonough and passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned on a motion at 4:00 pm, with all in favor.
