1) The payroll for the week ending September 13, 2003 was reviewed and
approved.
2) Spencer Brooks attended the meeting to inform the Board that one
of the responsibilities of the Conservation Commission is to develop
and maintain a Natural Resource Inventory of the town. He suggested
that it might be organized and data collected by college students.
He estimates that it could cost around $1,000 for the project. The
Board supported this concept.
3) Spencer reported that the gate would be installed at Carnival Hill
on September 22, 2003. Discussion ensued as to closing the wells
and cutting the apple trees on Carnival Hill.
4) Hal Melcher attended the meeting to ask the Board if they had any
concerns that he should take to NRPC. The future sidewalk project
was discussed.
5) At 7:35, Chairman Draper closed the regular meeting and called the
Board to executive session per RSA:91-A:3, II©.
6) At 8:00, Chairman Draper called another executive session to discuss
an issue with Thomas Schultz per RSA:91-A:3,II ©.
7) At the 8:30, the regular meeting was called to order.
8) Peggy informed the Board that Granite bank’s rate for the TAN is
.10 points lower than Bank of New Hampshire. Treasurer Barry Greene
and Jay Dinkle will attend next week’s Selectmen’s meeting to review the
proposal and sign contract.
9) The Board reviewed a quote from Price Rite Painting to do the hallway
and the court room. The Board agreed to have them do the painting.
10) The minutes from the last meeting were amended and signed.
The meeting was adjourned on a motion at 8:45.
