Draft Minutes of March 24, 2010

Present:  Trustees Doreece Miller, Brian Adams and Dave Boissonnault
Also: Richard Rockwood

The Trustees approved the minutes of February 17, 2010

* Discussion Items

1. Voted Doreece Miller as Chairperson. Nominated by Brian Adams, Seconded by Dave Boissonnault.

2. Voted Dave Boissonnault as Clerk. Nominated by Brian Adams, Seconded by Doreece Miller.

3. Monadnock Survey submitted two (2) bills for work at Vale End and Laurel Hill cemeteries which were paid.

4. Discussion of balance due to Medlyn Monument for work at Vale End and South Yard Cemeteries and decided that an invoice be requested from Medlyn Monument.  Doreece will contact Medlyn Monument.

5. The letter of resignation from Steve Elliott, custodian of the cemeteries, was read.  The Trustees discussed and made a list of expectations of responsibilities for the highway department in regard to the cemeteries.

6. After brief discussion of trustees, it was decided that Brian Adams will oversee burials.

7. Brief discussion on Mount Calvary Cemetery maintenance; awaiting a response from the Diocese of Manchester.

8. Discussion on mapping on Mount Calvary Cemetery was not complete and it would be nice to get this task completed this year. (Depending on response from the Diocese of Manchester.)

9. After brief discussion, the Trustees approved purchasing laminate material for signs to be posted at all cemeteries. Doreece Miller will take care of the lamination and Brian Adams will install the signs. The signs will indicate the Rules and Operating Hours.
 

Trustees would like to thank Maureen Donovan for her commitment and accomplishments and especially for her time in updating the Rules & Regulations, as well as, documenting the Duties and Responsibilities of Cemetery Trustees during her term as Cemetery Trustee.

The next meeting will be April 7th at the town hall.
