Discussion Items

Trustees held a brief discussion on
Green Burials. Although the interest in
offering a green burial option is strong, questions regarding required vaults still persist. Carl Michaud was
invited to discuss this with the trustees but he was unable to attend.
The Trustees agreed to table the discussion until Carl is available to discuss.

Update on Mt. Calvary- Doreece has not
received a new letter from the Diocese of Manchester to clarify who is eligible
to be buried in
o
Policy for Installation of Flat Stones
– After a brief discussion the Trustees agreed on the following fees for installation
of flat stones:
§
Veterans stones – no fee
§
Purchased Flat stones installed by the
Custodian of the Cemeteries $50.00
§
Purchased Flat stones installed by the
monument company – no fee.
o
Trustees agreed that the Town website
should direct any citizen interested in information on opening a grave lot to
the Custodian of the Cemeteries.
o
Right to Inter documents were reviewed
and updated

For the next meeting, Doreece and
Maureen will conduct research into the cost of lots at various cemeteries in
surrounding communities.
