The minutes of May 22nd were accepted as presented.

When our Rules and Regulations are updated we will send a letter to the local funeral homes including the pricing for burials.

Last month the trustees received a written request from a Milford resident with Wilton ties about the purchase of 7 grave sites at Vale End.  We have agreed, after hearing the family’s ties and background to Wilton, to allow them to purchase 4 lots, 8 gravesites in Vale End Cemetery.  We don’t sell single lots.  Maureen will contact them about our decision.

Dawn and Jim will be reviewing the roads in the Vale End Cemetery, keeping access for equipment in mind.

Our budget for next year needs to include money for the repair of the water line at Laurel Hill Cemetery and money for road maintenance in the cemeteries where needed.

The Trustees session ended and the Trustees then met with the Selectmen about a problem discovered at Laurel Hill Cemetery.  Trustee Jim Nelson and Dawn Tuomala discovered that there has been a mapping error in the past.   To correct this we need to hire a Surveying Engineer to map this area.  The money will have to come out of our budget for this year.

The next meeting will be Monday, June 23rd, at the Wilton Town Hall at 7PM.
